Dolno Dupeni Beach

34 km from the town of Resen, at the foot of Baba Planina, just a few hundred meters from Lake Prespa, is the village of Dolno Dupeni which is a real paradise for tourists. Most of the visitors who come to the village use the local beach "Dupeni Beach". The beach has fine sand, places for refreshment and food and is a real pleasure for tourists and visitors. Residents also call it "Valentine's Beach", and it is equipped with straw umbrellas, wooden tables and chairs and a volleyball court, and from the cafe you can see the beautiful sunset. The beach "Dupeni Beach" is located 2 km from the border crossing "Markova Noga" which, although not in operation, attracts a large number of visitors. According to the political agreement between Macedonia and Greece, this border crossing is planned to be active by 2024, which means that in the village "Dolno Dupeni" and the beach "Dupeni Beach" can be expected a significant increase in visitors and tourists, but also increase the pressure on Lake Prespa through, increasing the number of communal waste, wastewater and changing the landscape through the installation of urban equipment and construction of new facilities.
