St Michael the Archangel – Dolno Dupeni
In today's village of Dolno Dupeni stands the church dedicated to the miracles of St Michael the Archangel. Its feast day, 19 September, is also the village's feast day. According to the available records, the church was built on an old place of worship in 1883. Inside, there are wall paintings only behind the bishop's throne in the central part, and in the altar area in the niche of the prothesis and the main apse. They date from 1894, the period when the village was gradually moving from the site of the former Gorno Selo to where it stands today.
The altar screen has two rows of icons, made by the same master who painted the walls. According to the dates written on them, they were made in 1894, together with the whole iconostasis.
